Durian

I've followed the progress of Project Durian, the third 3D animated short film produced at the Blender Institute, for a while. The project is incredibly ambitious in terms of scope and scale, in fact I'd guess it to be many times as complex as Big Buck Bunny where I was a character animator.

I'm very happy to say that I've been asked to come down and help finish the film, as a character animator. It's a little scary, with its close-to-realism look and animation style, which are a far cry from the wacky toony style of BBB.

I'm heading over there next Sunday, and I'll keep you posted.
